My Village

This work was inspired by the realisation that today we tend to have the same number of friends as the population of a medieval village, usually around 120. These are concentrated in groups or circles of friends, family being the closest. Today the groups are not concentrated in a village but far flung. Over a 3 month period I asked family and friends for their fingerprints and even sent a kit to those far away, - the ones round the edge. Amazingly, the number did add up to 120!
